Overviews

Occupying central stage within the MIKK are the overviews of social assignments, innovation themes and knowledge themes. The attached overviews contain tree diagrams of these themes.

Tools

This page provides the tools with which to perform analyses with the MIKK. Contrary to the network overview on the Themes & Assignments page, this page can be used to view the connections between several themes and assignments simultaneously. To do so you will be asked to either check off a number of organisations or a number of themes or assignments. This can be done at a high abstraction level (Level 1) or at the underlying abstraction level (Level 2). The themes, assignments, organisations and source documents linked to the selected themes and assignments will be shown if required. At the top of the network overview you can create a selection by ticking off the various links.

You can also perform a complimentary analysis here.

Examples: below the tab Cluster Formation you can view the areas of similarity in knowledge and required technology for a number of themes and/or the social assignments to which the cluster in question is likely to contribute a solution. If you proceed from the tab Cooperation, you will be able to view the themes and assignments that the organisations which you have selected have in common and that might lead to new forms of cooperation.

This part of the MIKK website shows all the listed social assignments, knowledge and innovation themes, the source documents in which they are specified and the organisations that have endorsed those documents. In viewing you can chose between an overview in the form of a tree diagram, a simple list or a network-overview showing the internal connections.

L1 (level 1) represents the highest abstraction level under which the more specific L2 themes have been categorised. The L2 level provides factsheets with details on the scientific or economic references and the (public) funds reserved for that theme. You can also print a factsheet or respond to it if you wish to add new information to it via the webmaster for example or if you wish to have mentioned that your organisation is engaged in a theme.
